Shue Ying Wong
On Tuesday, December 17, 2019, Shue Ying Wong of Hyattsville, MD, passed away after a heroic battle with lymphoma. He was the beloved husband of Sau Ching Wong; father of Anna Eng, Betsy Chang, Lily Wen, Ken Wong and Susan Wong, and survived by eight beloved grandchildren. Shue was born in China where he grew up with three siblings. He worked as a professional chef for many years until his retirement.

Funeral Mass at Church of the Resurrection (Resurrection Church), 3315 Greencastle Road, Burtonsville, MD on December 28, 2019 at 10:00 AM. PHILIP EUGENE PROVINCE (Age 85)
On December 16, 2019, Philip E. Province of Silver Spring, MD. Devoted husband of Sarah Province (nee Moore), beloved father of Bonnie Nay (Matthew Bogdan), Rose Azalde (Edmundo Azalde), and Susan Phillips (Andrew Gurganus). Loving grandfather of Nicholas Phillips, Philip Nay, Claudia Azalde, Kennedy Phillips, Mark Nay, Naman Nay, Cecilia Phillips, and Antonio Azalde. Honorable, and truly kind, he lived with a strong work ethic that he passed on to his children and grandchildren. He will be remembered for his quiet intelligence, and his ability to inject levity into any situation, with a joke and a smile. He graduated from West Virginia University with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. He earned the rank of Lieutenant Commander in the US Navy where he served a total of 20 years including active duty and reserves. He had a 55 year career as a computer analyst in the aerospace industry. He also devoted much time into his hobby of restoring player pianos, melodeons, and organs. He also had a lifelong interest in classic cars, and lovingly restored his father’s 1938 Plymouth. He will be forever in our hearts. Elizabeth Ann Hart “Betty” (Age 76)

FRANCISCA E. OLIVOS
Francisca (Paquita) Olivos passed away on Thursday, November 14th, 2019, in Silver Spring, MD. She was the beloved mother of Guillermo Olivos (Bangor, ME), Ariela (Olivos) Vader (Grantham, PA), Martha (Olivos) Gonzalez (San Antonio, TX), and Isabelle Olivos-Glander (Rockville, MD); and beloved grandmother of Guillermo Olivos, Maegan Olivos, Emily Vader, Daniel Vader, Adan Gonzalez, Nathan Vader, Zachary Olivos, Paloma Gonzalez, Emma Glander, Maya Glander, Joaquin Gonzalez, and Lucas Glander. She is survived by siblings Benilda Reto, Carlos Ramirez, Antonina Rivera, and Nancy Martinez.
Francisca was born in Peru where she grew up with 8 beloved siblings. She married Dr. Guillermo Olivos in 1957 and moved to the United States. She enjoyed her friends and fashion as she worked for over twenty years in retail beautifying her many customers. Francisca also enjoyed art, music, dancing and the theater. Her children remember lovely parties with Peruvian music, food and dances such as the Marinera. She often visited her family in Peru and enjoyed traveling to other places including Hawaii, Italy, Argentina, Russia and Spain.
Relatives and friends are welcome to call at Our Lady of Grace Church, 15663 Norbeck Blvd, Silver Spring, MD on Saturday December 21st from 10-11 am and to celebrate the funeral Mass at 11 am. Graveside service and Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Silver Spring, MD.
Jack Mitchell (Age 69)
